The Paton public library will host its annual Harvest Party Saturday, Oct. 25, from 5 to 7:30 pm at the Shriver Community Center in Paton.
Librarian Joleen Allen explains the Harvest Party is an event for all Paton area residents hosted by the library as a way to say “thank you” for all the community does for the library.
The party includes a free supper of chili, hotdogs and rolls. Craig Fillman donated enough pumpkins that all the children can paint one and take it home. There will be hayrides and all the fixins for s’mores, including a bonfire.
Paton area residents of all ages are welcome; there is no charge.
Other upcoming events are a Halloween story hour Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 5 pm at the library, and a book and bake sale Saturday, Nov. 8, from 8:30 to 11:30 am, also at the library.
